This is an experimental website that is in the developmental stages. I have set it up for a number of reasons:

to learn how to set up a website using a content management system, ie Joomla! (so far, so satisfactory!)

to provide information about e-learning in the further education sector

to provide elearning activities for my students studying A level ICT and BTEC National Certificate/Diploma for IT Practitioners

to give my students the option to upload their web pages they have created related to their

... and anything elearning related that crops up!

What is e-learning?

_{There are many definitions of e-learning available. For the purpose of this website, it is learning by digital means. For example online learning via the internet or intranet/extranet, interactive whiteboard activities, the use of digital and video cameras, and blogs and forums.
